Julie Watson

Julie Watson spent more than forty years teaching around the world and in UK higher education before retiring to the Isle of Wight in has published research in her academic field and has travelled extensively during her career. Soon after coming to live on the Isle of Wight, she  joined a local writing has published two  books with Beachy Books. Her most recent one is called  Travel Takeaways: Around the world in Forty Tales (2023). This was preceded by  Travel Mementos (2021), a smaller collection of personal stories about some of the faraway places she has visited. She has also had a number of articles and guest blog posts published on aspects of the writing not writing, she teaches English to refugees, paddles her kayak on the Western Yar, takes an interest in natural history and is personal slave to a small feline house
