The year is 1911 and the two richest men in the world, John D. Rockefeller and Andrew Carnegie, embark on a journey to change the fate of mankind. Their journey begins with the discovery of ancient Egyptian scrolls nearly 4,000 years old and written by scribes for the Pharoh Sekhemib-Perenma. Two thousand years later, Egypt was conquered by the Romans and the ancient scrolls were translated by Roman scholars and presented to Emperor Antoninus Pius. As he read of what the scribes had discovered, the emperor would become consumed to find the secrets the scrolls contained in ‘Et reversus est ad mortem deos’; “To Die and come back as gods.”

After some initial resistance from Carnegie, he and Rockefeller financed the creation of a secret laboratory in the most remote place on planet Earth, a small rocky island in the Pacific called Point Nemo. Over the years the facility’s staff of the best and brightest researchers, scientists and medical professionals are all working tirelessly while seeking to unravel the secrets of ‘Et reversus est ad mortem deos’.

As the decades go by, various boards of directors placed in charge of the Point Nemo facility each with their own agenda.  These men and women seek to control the scientist and doctors to test their findings on the many patients who are suffering from terminal illnesses or the worse of fatal disabilities that have no treatment.

On the other side of the world, best-selling author Peter Cordell is experiencing writers-block when he receives a very strange call from Mrs. Evelyn Rule. She invites him to spend time at Point Nemo and offers him an assignment to write a historical novel to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the facility.

The progress made in keeping humans alive for an extra 50 to 100 years, perhaps forever has not made any major advancements…and all know they need to find a miracle…they need The Serum.
